2012 Came in With A Bang

2012 Came in With A Bang

Tolga and I spent our first New Year’s as a married couple taking photos of the fireworks and talking about what we were going to change and how we were going to make 2012 the best year ever. We also read through some books and decided to post a few positive quotes to kick off the new year with a CAN DO attitude.

So here they are:

"Before you can inspire with emotion, you must be swamped with it yourself. Before you can move their tears, your own must flow. To convince them, you must yourself believe."

— Winston Churchill
An average person with average talent, ambition and education, can outstrip the most brilliant genius in our society, if that person has clear, focused goals.

~Brian Tracy

"Every great leap forward in your life comes after you have made a clear decision of some kind. "

— Brian Tracy

Happiness comes when you believe in what you are doing, know what you are doing, and love what you are doing.

~Brian Tracy

"Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood."

— Ralph Waldo Emerson

Success requires no explanations.

"Let us consider the nature of true greatness in men. The people who can catch hold of men’s minds and feelings and inspire them to do things bigger than themselves are the people who are remembered in history. . . . those who stir feelings and imagination and make men struggle toward perfection."

— Henry Eyring

Recipe for Greatness.

"To bear up under loss, to fight the bitterness of defeat and the weakness of grief, to be victor over anger, to smile when tears are close, to resist evil men and base instincts, to hate hate and to love love, to go on when it would seem good to die, to seek ever after the glory and the dream, to look up with unquenchable faith in something evermore about to be, that is what any man can do, and so be great."

— Zane Grey

"Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite simple, really. Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success.  "

— Thomas J. Watson

Commiting your goals to paper increases the likelihood of your achieving them by one thousand percent! ~Brian Tracy

"The future belongs to the competent. It belongs to those who are very, very good at what they do. It does not belong to the well meaning.  "

— Brian Tracy

Set peace of mind as your highest goal and organize your entire life around it .

"The ideals which have lighted my way, and time after time have given me new courage to face life cheerfully, have been Kindness, Beauty, and Truth. The trite subjects of human efforts, possessions, outward success, luxury have always seemed to me contemptible."

— Albert Einstein
