Did you know that Tolga Katas wrote the first online craps software? Yup. It was finished in 1997 and he called it Ultimate Craps. I was talking about Craps today with a friend who is a Craps genius in his own right, and out of curiosity I decided to google “Tolga Katas” and “online Craps,” just for fun. Wait. (Is it Craps or craps?) Anyway, I found this in the results:
"Craps first appeared in the 19th century. The end of the 20th century brought another variety of Craps – Online Craps. First Online Craps software was released in 1997 by the software architect Tolga Katas. He also invented the global Internet broadcasting platform “Flyxo” and a number of other software platforms."
Wikipedia says this, “In 1997, he developed Ultimate Craps, the world’s first online craps software; in 2000 he invented iMixalot – one of the first media players that could easily convert sound designer files.”
Yes, he did that long ago and I’m proud of him.
He’s the coolest guy that ever walked the earth. But why do they call it Craps anyway? Couldn’t they have thought of a better name?
Like “Poops” or something?
